Waltzers are an important part of today's fairground scene. The Waltzer as a ride has captured the hearts of the British fair going public and is one of the firm favourites on many grounds today.
Waltzers come in many shapes and Sizes and it is almost impossible to find two identical machines. From the latest porter built machines that came on to the fairground scene in 2008 to the Mighty Maxwell machines this DVD aims to showcase them all. The DVD has 20 main feature waltzers filmed all over the UK from a wet windy Helmsdale Highland games in the north of Scotland to the to an autumn night in Syston Leicestershire. On top of the main featured films we have a medley of clips from Scotland and over 100 photos featuring 60 different waltzers stretching from Torquay to Wick.
In the making of this disk we have gone through the archive footage of Amusement Rides and scotlands-funlands dating between 2004 up to the current day to being as diverse a collection of waltzers as possible.
With the crowds thronging the gangways, lights loud music and fast rides the Waltzer is the undisputed king of the fairground world. So sit back and relax as we take you to the max.
